My practice includes a combination of sculptures, installations, and site specific interventions, which manipulate ordinary materials and operations into physical realities that defy phenomenal logic. A conceptual approach is used to define the parameters of each project which also employ an aesthetic sense of materiality so that a tension is established between the poetic and the empiric. I often make use of negative space and erasure in the pieces to engage a form of deductive reasoning, in order to determine that which is known by first establishing what is not known. As a whole my practice is engaged with an immediacy of time and space, one that is collapsed into the intangible moment of an ever-vanishing present.
