Description:
This piece consists of a wooden box that contains 576 unique cards which are filed in a fixed order. When assembled consecutively they compose an 8' x 8' maze. This work is the collectors edition of the piece, A Chance Operation. A Chance Operation was conceived as a response to Michel Foucault’s, The Order of Things. A desire to jump start the initiative to reconsider, reframe, recontextualize: a push to make order a matter of fancy rather than fact.
